Nose to nose comparison from a chalk drawing to a finished galloping steel sculpture highlight the deliberate attempt at simplicity and anatomical features. Chalk drawings on a steel table enable the work surface and the sculpture synchronicity. The abdomen of the horse was a theme carried out with large hole perforated steel for shoulders and hips although not as large as the center of the mystery horse. The grace of the abdomen’s large perforated steel was echoed in the mane or neck profile. The horse gallops on a frozen hinge and is supported by square steel rod such as entwine the legs at fetlocks and knees and represents the tail.
